Sparkstation
works closely
with QALA to
host their
servers in their
datacenter that
is designed to
provide an
environment
necessary to
keep your
servers running
24 hours a day,
7 days a week.
We have the
following
protection
systems in place
to ensure
maximum
operation
regardless of
the disruption:
Sparkstation power system is made up of:
-
Commercial Utility Underground Conduits
-
Redundant UPS System
-
30-45 minutes of backup time (Industry
Standard: 15 minutes)
-
Multiple incoming power supplies
-
Dual-feed secondary switchboard and critical
load distribution boards
-
Backup Diesel Generator
*Note: Specifications of datacenters may differ
from country to country.
Security
Security is paramount to all our customers.
Hence, the datacenter and network have been
designed with that in mind. We provide a
comprehensive security system which includes:
-
visitation controls
-
visitation logging
-
dedicated Ethernet system,
-
network monitoring
All visitors to the datacenter are identified
against a client-defined access control list.
Each visitor is also issued a badge and his
entry and exit to the center is logged. Visitors
in the datacenter are monitored from an open
glass view panel.
Each server housed in Sparkstation's datacenter
is connected via a dedicated Ethernet switch
rather than hubs. This arrangement protects the
confidentiality of traffic within our network
and ensures no other server housed on our
network can tap the data flowing through our
network.
Environment
-
Raised Flooring
-
HVAC temperature control systems
-
Separate Cooling zones
-
Individual Rack Level Circuit Breaker
Our datacenter is equipped with multiple units
of conditioning units, a complete FM-200 fire
suppression system, a complete smoke detection
system and a piped sprinkler system. Each rack
is also earth-grounded and has its own
individual circuit breaker for that extra
redundancy.
Scranton, Pennsylvania Datacenter
Located in the Middle Atlantic region of the United States of America, our servers are
housed in the 11,000 square foot data center facility
that contains everything needed
to ensure your mission-critical Internet operation is functioning at the highest
perfomance levels.
Security
The data center has restricted access with only qualified personnel monitoring 24 hours a
day, every day. Site visits are often entertained due to security reasons. However, arrangements
can be requested by visitors and clientele but with full escort.
Failsafe Power Supply
It is powered by 800amps 480V & 600amps 208V 3-Phase without any interruptions. The facility is
currently backed up and protected by 225KVA
and 160KVA Powerware™ 9315/9395 facility-wide
UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems, which feed PDI™, MGE™, & Liebert™
PDU (Power Distribution Unit) systems.
Environment
Precision-controlled raised floor air conditioning systems protect and cool mission-critical
servers and equipment in the Network Operations Center.
Guaranteed 24/7 Close Monitoring
The Network Operations Center uses industry-standard SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol)
and provides round-the-clock monitoring of all hardware, including routers, switches, UPS
systems, and servers. The Network Operations Center also monitors power, environmental
factors (such as temperature and humidity), generator status, and network connectivity.
Connectivity
The network is connected via Gigabit Ethernet handoff(s) (1000mbps) on redundant/dual-path
OC48 (2048mbps) DWDM fiber-optic transport connections to Commonwealth Telephone™ (CTSI™),
a division of Frontier Communications™, NorthEast PA's 2nd largest Telco. Verizon™ (Formerly
Bell Atlantic PA) and PPL Telcom™, (a sub-division of Pennsylvania Power & Electric™ - PPL™)
fiber is also available in the facility.
